About Us
The team behind ELPU bring together a range of skills to support polymer users. In particular it combines the industry and sector strengths of RAPRA with the legal and research skills of the School of Law at the University of Manchester. The team from the School of Law consists of David Williamson, Gary Lynch-Wood, Adekunle Osibogun and Muhammad Abbasi. They are supported by Regina Duggan, a former senior manager within the Environment Agency. The team, through their research and experience, understand how difficult environmental regulation can be for businesses. Indeed, the structure and content of the ELPU website is the outcome of a process that commenced in 2003 with a project that sought to identify the environmental support needs of businesses in different parts of the European Union. This showed that businesses need easy access to simple but accurate information on what is legally required of them. It should also be provided by people they trust and who understand the industry and sector they operate in. We are confident that this is what ELPU does. But please let us know if you think it can be improved in any way – your suggestions will be gratefully received.
